Guides, drivers and boat crews are employed directly by the Egyptian operator rather than subcontracted per trip. Tipping guidance is published up front so nobody has to guess.
We do not sell camel rides at the Pyramids, and we will tell you which sites are genuinely worth the extra ticket rather than adding them by default.

Do I need a visa for Egypt?+
Most European and North American passport holders can get an e-visa online or a visa on arrival at the airport. We send the current guidance with your booking confirmation.
When is the best time to go?+
October to April. Summer in Luxor and Aswan regularly passes 40°C, which makes the temples hard work. December and January are the busiest and priciest.
Is a Nile cruise worth it, or should I stay in hotels?+
The cruise is worth it. Edfu and Kom Ombo sit on the riverbank and are far easier by boat, and you unpack once. Hotels in Luxor and Aswan make more sense if you want a slower pace.
How much should I budget for tipping?+
Around €8–12 per person per day covers guides, drivers and boat crew. It is genuinely expected rather than optional, and we give you a breakdown before you travel.
Is Egypt safe at the moment?+
The tourist corridor — Cairo, the Nile valley and the Red Sea coast — has been stable for years. We follow your own government's travel advice and will say plainly if we think a route should change.
Can you change a published itinerary?+
Yes. Every trip is private unless it is marked as a group departure, so days can be added, dropped or reordered before anything is booked.
